Flight

about

'Flight' is an unedited natural field recording which as its name suggests includes many forms of flight, both natural and human, captured 27 March 2012 at 12:29hrs within the space of just over 15 minutes at a relatively unspoilt location called the 'Old Larch Wood', Beechamwell, Norfolk in the heart of rural England.

It includes many forms of flight; natural two-winged, natural four-winged, natural ejected (explosive pod dispersal), human variable geometry winged jet, human rotary winged, and finally stretching it a bit – since it’s barely audible – human centrifugal pellet dispersal…….

Sonic Field's approach to field recording tends to differ from many recordists by including all sound present at the location being recorded. This ensures the final sound file is a true representation of the ambience of that particular location at the time of recording and not some virtual location produced as a figment of the recordist’s imagination through the removal of unwanted sound such as road traffic, aircraft and other human activities.
