Recorded from the platform at the idyllic rural retreat of Beaulieu Road Station, set in the heart of the New Forest, Hampshire, England.
This track is a composite of four separate track recordings made in 2005 as high speed commuter trains interrupt the birdsong and shatter the peace and tranquility of this lovely rural station.

Sonic Field's approach to field recording tends to differ from many recordists by including all sound present at the location being recorded. This ensures the final sound file is a true representation of the ambience of that particular location at the time of recording and not some virtual location produced as a figment of the recordist’s imagination through the removal of unwanted sound such as road traffic, aircraft and other human activities.
