about

Unlike many field recordists, Lawrence M. Barker is recognised for his work in capturing 'natural field recordings', without the need to edit out what some term as man-made noise.

His recordings place the listener at the particular location and time indicated, irrespective of any human activity present, so don't be concerned if you hear passing vehicles, voices, aircraft overflights, farming activities, church bells, bird-scarers, shotguns, and strange things which go 'bump' in the night; those sounds are what you would have heard, had you been there at the time.

This particular continuous 11 hrs 38 mins long duration overnight natural field recording has been split into a series of 6 no. easily manageable tracks. They capture the natural overnight ambience in the Breckland village of Saham Hills, Norfolk, England. The recording commences with track 1 at 19:54 hrs in the evening of 10 April 2020 and ends the following morning with track 6 at approximately 07:32 hrs on 11 April 2020.
